New licencees, Al and Tracy Branagan, are promoting local live music at this historic pub. We have the privilege of playing as part of the CAMRA Community Pubs Week. We are likely to start playing around 8.30pm, but make sure you get there early, especially if you want a seat.

OPEN MIC NIGHTS AT THE WHITE LION INN
Ever fancied having a go at playing in front of a live, friendly audience? Are you an experienced musician wanting to find a new audience? Are you just a music fan who loves live music and a great, informal pub atmosphere?
Well, you will do no better than by coming along to one of our Open Mic Nights.

WHAT TIME WILL THEY START?
8.30pm, but we will be setting up from 8pm and expecting a big demand, so you would be advised to turn up soon after 8pm to fix you slot. However we will ensure that everyone who comes to play gets the chance to play at least 2 songs or tunes.

WHAT'S THE FORMAT?
Any type of music is very welcome, as long as it doesn't annoy the patrons and neighbours! There will no doubt be a fair amount of folk / acoustic music, but the more varied the instrument or voice the better. Please e-mail Ian if you want to ask some questions. A small PA (with phantom power) will be provided. You could also have the backing of the superb Odd At Ease rhythm section that is Dave The Drums and Hairy Mark should you so wish!
