The latest Easies lineup - live in Preston November 2007

2008: TEN YEARS OLD!
Well who would have thought it? This band of friends that got together in 1998 to record a few demos of songs they had written would still be going..and, despite their age and creaking bones, they are!
Odd At Ease played their first live gig in Wigan back in October 1998 on the very day that their first album, The Wrong Type Of Rain, was released. In order to celebrate this milestone, the band are planning to stage a tenth anniversary gig in Southport towards the end of the year. Stay tuned to this site for more details. they hope that some past members of the band will also join them ("Hey, we'd better give them a call and check that they are happy with this!" Nig).

There is also talk of the third album being recorded this year too...

FEBRUARY 2007 -THE LEAVING OF ANNA.....
It is with great sadness and regret that Odd At Ease announce the departure of our stalwart flautist, recorder player, singer, and percussionist, Miss Anna Scarisbrick.
Anna has been with the band right from the start, only taking a short sabbatical a few years ago to complete her degree in Madrid. She has moved on to pastures new and we wish her all the very best.
The band are continuing to operate as a four-piece and reworking some of their old songs as well as working on new ones for the forthcoming album no.3. There are also some juicy new covers to feature in the live set. Come and see the new line-up. New photos to follow shortly...
ACOUSTIC NIGHTS IN UP HOLLAND
Odd At Ease are in the stages of finalising the organisation of monthly acoustic nights in Up Holland, Lancashire. The White Lion (click here to visit their website) has recently changed management and Al and Tracy Branagan, the new licensees, are very keen to promote live music. They are likely to be on Monday nights and will start in February. Watch this space for more information.

Yes, it's true...in order to keep competitive with the likes of Music Zone (er...they've gone bust!), the price of the CDs has dropped. Go and have a look at the Discography page and pick up a bargain....

 

THE DARK SIDE OF THE DUNE - ALBUM No.2 (released 2004)

It is a great mix of original songs by the band and traditional tunes done in the Easies' way. It also has some great original artwork by Dave Grimbleby, an example of which is shown opposite.

GIGS
