First Aid Competition 2011

This years First Aid Competition took place on Sunday 30th Jan.
Three teams from the district entered the afternoon event which
consisted of scenarios spread around the District HQ for the Scout
teams to deal with.
The event organiser, Steve Gray, had arranged for professional
first aid trainer Ed Ellis of Trainging2All to attend. Ed brought
with him a Resusci Anne, ran one of the bases through the day and
gve a quick tips final half hour after the competition. Ed offers

The event ran from 2 - 5pm and had four different scenarios.
There were a total of 200 points available and all teams scored
well over 50%. The event was won by 1st Ashton Scouts with 146
points, 2nd and 3rd weren't far behind.
